Obagi is a great company. I have been religiously buying their products and felt like I get a great bang for my buck. One of the highest valued companies, at least for me, and the prices are dirt cheap compared to other leading brands.
When I navigated around Amazon.com trying to find a new cleanser, I saw this nifty looking bastard – Obagi Nu-derm, and decided this product is worth reviewing, and even trying for personal use. Its current pricing is around $14 for a 6.7Oz bottle. This kind of bottle is usually sufficient for 3 months use for me. To make things even clearer, if I find Nu-derm sufficient for my needs, I would have to pay around $50 ANUALLY on skin cleansing whereas today I pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

The review :
The product is described by Amazon as " Cleanses and smoothes to refine skin gently and effectively". This is a rather generic description. I suppose all cleansers are made in order to… cleanse your skin. I tried to approach this product in the most non-biased approach so I abstained reading any reviews about it online.
I just put it on a daily basis for 2 weeks. These are my conclusions:
- I have a rather gentle skin and this product is suitable for it. I didn't feel any stinging notions like I sometimes do with other products.
- It really did cleanse my skin and I felt like it's an effective product.
- Helpful for dry skin.
- Refreshing smell.
- High quality as expected from Obagi.
The downside I did find that it was a little too subtle for me. It did work, and I could clearly see my skin feels and looks nicer, but my favorite (Olay cleanser) performs this task a tad better.
Still, this definitely goes into my arsenal. For a 6.7Oz bottle I wouldn't expect anything under 40 or even 50 USD. For $14 it's probably the best skin care product deal I came across. It's a solid product, only second to a very few products, with third of their offered price.
It's obviously this cheap only on Amazon.com. In stores it can cost $50-$70. Look below to find the latest offer from Amazon.
